Boost a property
You can influence the order that assets appear in search results by enabling the Boost property on a specific member. This means that when there are multiple entities that match the keyword, entities with boost enabled rank higher in the search results. To boost a property, you modify the schema.
In this example, the superuser adds two new fields to the schema: Author and AuthorInfo.
To boost search results:
- On the Manage page, click Schema.
- In the search box, enter M.Asset and then select it.
- On the M.Asset page, click the Overview tab, click New member.
- In the New member dialog box, next to PROPERTY, click Select.
- From the data type list, select String and click Next.
- In the Name field, enter Author and the define the following properties:
- Click the Include in content switch to make it active.
- Click the Boost switch to make it active.
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps 4 to 7 with the following properties:
- Name: AuthorInfo
- Label: Author Information
- Click the Include in content switch to make it active.
- Make sure that the Boost switch is inactive.
- Click Save and publish your changes.
