Page component configuration
Page components hold the content you want to deliver. When you configure page components, the available options vary according to the type of page (that is, blank page, detail page, and so on).
Warning
You must be a superuser to create and modify page components.
Create a new page component
On the menu bar, click Manage .
On the Manage page, click Pages.
In the sitemap, select the page to which you want to add a new page component.
On the Layout tab, in the zone where you want to place the component, click Add component .
In the Add component dialog box, select the component type.
In the Title field, enter a title.
To make the component visible, turn the Visible switch to On.
Click Add.
To configure the new component, click the title of the component.
Each component type has its own configuration options.
Note
You can also add a new component by duplicating an existing component. To do so, next to the component, click More options and then click Duplicate.
Modify page component settings
To modify page component settings:
On the Pages page, select the page you want to modify in the sitemap.
On the Layout tab, next to the component that you want to configure, click More options and then click Settings.
In the Settings dialog box, in the Title field, enter a title.
To make the component visible, turn the Visible switch to On.
To nest the component inside another component, turn the Nested switch to On.
Select a container for the new component from the Container list (None or Panel).
If you selected Panel in the previous step, turn any of the following switches to On:
- Show panel title
- Collapsible
- Collapsed by default
Click Save.
Edit a page component
To edit a page component:
On the Pages page, select the page you want to modify in the sitemap.
On the Layout tab, next to the component that you want to edit, click More options and then click Settings and then click Edit.
The page component detail page opens where you can edit the page component.
Note
You can also open the page component detail page by clicking the page component title.
Delete a page component
To delete a page component:
On the Pages page, select the page you want to modify in the sitemap.
On the Layout tab, next to the component that you want to delete, click More options and then click Remove.
In the deletion confirmation dialog box, click OK to remove the component.
Example
The following example shows a Divider component.
When Container is set to None, the component shows on the page.
When Container is set to Panel, the component shows in a delimited zone. In this case, the Show panel title switch is active.
When Collapsible is enabled, an arrowhead icon appears, which allows you to collapse the component.
