Dynamic watermarking

Dynamic watermarking is a text or an image that you overlay on an asset as an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized use. In Sitecore Content Hub, watermarks can include the username (the default watermark), the asset name, a timestamp, custom text, and a background image.

To use dynamic watermarking, you must first enable a rendition for watermarking.

The watermarking feature:

  • Supports watermarking preview renditions, but not original renditions.
  • Does not support watermarking images rendered using deep zoom.
  • Does not support multiple watermarks for a single rendition.
  • Does not support watermarking public links.

For more information, see Set up watermark permissions. For a summary of the permissions required to use watermarking, see the Configure Content Hub FAQ.
